The company The Artist Academy steps up its development with a renowned private investor (confidential) as a new shareholder and bpifrance funding
Founded in March 2018 by Evelyne Platnic-Cohen, Sophie de Parseval and Marjorie Le Blanc, The Artist Academy is a platform offering interactive and exclusive digital masterclasses by renowned talents and brands such as Eric Emmanuel Schmitt, Chantal Thomass, Studios Harcourt or Richard Orlinski. The platform aims to widen access to the knowledge of leading talents and create the biggest digital library by offering masterclasses in writing, performing arts, music, sport, cookery, entrepreneurship... In less than two years, The Artist Academy has developed nine masterclasses which are available in France and overseas. The platform has significant online and media visibility.
The Artist Academy is active in two areas - digital learning and entertainment - which are both fast-growing markets. It aims to create more than fifty masterclasses and a community of over 100,000 subscribers within five years. It is currently producing a masterclass with a singing sensation (multiple diamond-certified records, 9 million YouTube subscribers).
After an initial funding round of €900k in April 2018, The Artist Academy raised €1.1 million from a major celebrity in music and cinema, as well as bpifrance. In addition to funding, this investor will allow The Artist Academy to recruit more talent for its masterclasses.
