Press release - 21 December 2021
The investment bank Largillière Finance orchestrated the sale of Plébagnac, a specialized affinity insurance brokerage portfolio of Groupe France Courtage, to PSD Courtage, a member of the APICIL Group, the 3rd largest health and welfare group in France.
Largillière Finance's major challenge in this transaction was to identify the best candidate to take over Plébagnac, a niche player that has been working with dependent and/or reduced-mobility individuals for over 20 years.
The sale of the portfolio to the APICIL Group's PSD Courtage firm enables the France Courtage Group to transfer Plébagnac to a group committed to social inclusion and to refocus its activities on its core business, insurance brokerage for corporate clients.
The transaction will enable the APICIL Group to strengthen its commitment to the disability and dependency sector, and to diversify its activities in property and casualty insurance brokerage.
Largillière Finance confirms its position as a leading investment bank in the insurance brokerage sector by signing its fifth deal of the year. Largillière Finance is the exclusive partner of Planète CSCA - the main insurance brokers' union - in order to support its members in their capital projects.
